Notes:

We recommend that all users upgrade to this latest version.

How to apply upgrade:

To upgrade from a previous Policy Patrol 5 version follow the next steps:

  1. Download the complete Policy Patrol installation from http://www.policypatrol.com/files/policypatrol2k7.exe.
  2. Double-click on policypatrol2k7.exe.
  3. The installation will detect that a previous version already exists and will ask whether you wish to perform the upgrade. Select Yes.
  4. A dialog will pop up asking you to click Next to complete the installation. The installation will need to restart the Microsoft Exchange Transport service. Click Next to continue.
  5. When the installation complete dialog pops up, click Finish.

There is no need to reboot your machine and your existing configuration will remain intact. The upgrade does require a restart of the Microsoft Exchange Transport service which is done automatically after clicking ‘Next’ in the Welcome screen (see point 4 above).

How can I check which version I have installed:

In the Policy Patrol Administration console, select Help > About from the menu.
